Bates Selected as Chief Academic Officer

Following an extensive search, Mr. William L. Bates, Jr., has been selected as the new Chief Academic Officer for Falls Church City Public Schools. Mr. Bates currently serves as the Executive Director of Secondary Schools and previously was Director of School Performance both for Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS).

New Traffic Flow beginning Monday June 17

Construction on the new George Mason High School begins June 17 with the fencing in of the project area. This initial work will immediately eliminate the parking lot to the rear of George Mason High and Mary Ellen Henderson and force changes in traffic flow for the remainder of the project.
