BIE Partners are committed to helping students become competent, creative and constructive citizens. BIE partners share their knowledge and talents with students and our schools in the following ways:

• Providing real-world learning experiences

• Preparing students for the workforce through internships, mentorships and career education

• Supporting teachers and staff members

• Donating professional services and goods to augment school experiences

• Sponsoring school affiliated organizations and clubs/teams/events

• Serving as school volunteers

• Offering volunteer opportunities for students

• Assisting school staff in the review of instructional programs to ensure relevant instruction

• Assisting and advising in the development and approval of the Annual Career and Technical Education (CTE) Plan and programs

• Donate money, food and supplies to support Parent Teacher Associations and School Affiliated Organizations

• Host "Dining Out" fundraisers for Band, Chorus and Athletic Booster programs

• Sponsor Falls Church Education Foundation events and the All Night Grad Celebration

• Collect holiday gifts and provide meals for low income families

• Share career experience and advice to help students imagine what comes after high school

• Host students for internships and on-the-job training

• Provide expertise and sweat equity for outdoor classroom projects

• Students, staff, athletic and club team members regularly perform community service at local non-profit and community organizations

• Students frequently collect donations of food, warm clothing, blankets, sports equipment and books throughout the community to support these organizations

• Recruit students for internships and part-time jobs

• Have an event planned and would like a student group to perform? Members of the chorus, band, theater, cheer team and other performing arts clubs can share their talents at community events

• Promote your business with sponsorship signage at sporting and school events, donate swag to teams and staff members, and host school events at your location

• Partners receive major shout outs on FCCPS social media and in the daily Morning Announcements emails that are sent to over 6000 people
