How to Contact the Board
There are several ways to contact and engage with the School Board:
Attend a Board meeting
Speak at a Board meeting
Submit a written public comment
Email the Board
Attend School Board Office Hours
Write a letter
Attend a Board meeting. You can attend our meetings in person or virtually. Meeting dates and times are listed on our Board Meetings and Agendas page. They alternate between being hosted at City Hall or the FCCPS Central Office. All meetings are recorded and hosted for later viewing.
Speak at a Board meeting. The public may comment in person at the School Board’s Regular Meetings (those hosted at City Hall). Speaker slips are available for the public at the meeting site and should be completed and handed to the School Board Clerk before the start of the meeting. The speaker should clearly state their name, address, and the subject of their remarks. Members of the public are invited to speak by the School Board Chair in the order that the speaker slips are received. Per Policy BDDH, each speaker is limited to three minutes. However, those needing a reasonable accommodation, or who need interpretation, may have extended time.
Submit a Public Comment. In some cases, a public member may prefer to submit a written public comment that is submitted and filed with the official meeting. Written public comments may be submitted to the School Board Clerk Marty Gadell at gadellm@fccps.org.
Email the Board. To contact the entire School Board and district leadership (Superintendent, School Board Clerk, Director of Communications, and School Board Counsel), outside of a public meeting, please email schoolboard@fccps.org.
To email individual School Board members, please see their contact information listed below. Please note that while these messages will not be posted online to BoardDocs, they are still considered public and are subject to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

Attend School Board Office Hours. The School Board holds monthly Office Hours in the community, with two members attending each month. Parents, students, teachers, staff, and community members may drop by (no registration required) to ask questions and offer feedback in a casual environment. This is not a private setting. Community members who prefer to have a private exchange with the School Board should contact the members via email to set up a meeting.
