Since the Falls Church City Public Schools opened its Extended Day Care Program in 1975, our mission is to provide a safe, fun and nurturing environment for children and their families. Our staff work to meet the needs of all children while encouraging them to explore, create and grow.
The staff works to meet the needs of each child and the expectations of every family by providing a place in which the children can flourish and the family can feel confident in the knowledge that their children are safe, secure and happy.
COMPLIANCE WITH OPERATING STANDARDS
The Extended Day Care Program is overseen by the FCCPS School Board and complies with Day Care Operating Standards. Each facility is monitored regularly to ensure compliance with all regulations. The Extended Day Care Program is exempt from state licensure. Operating Standards

Staff qualifications
Children-to-staff ratios
Supervision & accountability procedures
Health and food guidelines
Appropriate programming and activities
Facility management and maintenance
