School Lunch Pre-payments
FCCPS Food Services Department uses MySchoolBucks to collect student meal payments. Each student has a “debit account” (not a credit account) with us. When parents pre-pay on the account, the money is deposited and the student can purchase lunch using it. Students enter their school ID number on a pin pad to access their account. The computer accesses the student’s account. If there is money in the account, the purchase is deducted. If the student is eligible for a free meal, the computer acts as if the student has meal credits in the account. If there is no money in the account, and the student is a paying student, the computer will ask for the price of the meal.
FCCPS recommends that parents set up a pre-paid account before the first day of school so that each student's account is ready for the first day of school. Any funds sent to the Food Service Department must include student’s name and student ID to ensure funds are applied to the correct student.
