MISSION STATEMENT
As a premier International Baccalaureate public school division, Falls Church City Public Schools personalizes learning to support each child's unique needs and to prepare every student to be a responsible, caring, and internationally-minded citizen.
Falls Church City Public Schools enjoys an international reputation for excellence. The division provides the full International Baccalaureate Continuum, offering all students, in every grade access to International Baccalaureate programmes.
Five schools serve over 2600 students, including some tuition students who live in communities outside the City of Falls Church.
JESSIE THACKREY PRESCHOOL
Jessie Thackrey Preschool offers children in Falls Church City ages 2-5 a high-quality, developmentally appropriate preschool experience. The classes include 3-4 children with special needs and 7-8 children without special needs who pay tuition. It is an authorized International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme World School.
MOUNT DANIEL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Mount Daniel Elementary School provides kindergarten through second-grade students a safe, warm, and nurturing learning environment. It is an authorized International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme World School.
OAK STREET ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Oak Street Elementary School offers a progressive and challenging curriculum for students in grades 3 - 5. It is an authorized International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme World School.
MARY ELLEN HENDERSON MIDDLE SCHOOL
Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School offers students in grades 6 - 8 a progressive, enriching, and differentiated curriculum that challenges them to pursue a wide variety of interests. It is an authorized International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme World School.
MERIDIAN HIGH SCHOOL
Meridian High School (formerly George Mason High School) has long been recognized for challenging, rigorous courses of study and high-caliber athletic and visual and performing arts programs. It is an authorized International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme, Career-Related Programme, and Diploma Programme World School.
