The Mustangs conquered the muddy and hilly course at Culpeper to punch their tickets to States as both the Boys and Girls team qualified. Overall, the Boy's team claimed the Runner-up trophy by beating District rival Warren County by 3 pts! The first time they have finished 2nd place since 2013! They were led by Tucker Albaugh's 4th place finish, with Henry Hladky close behind in 7th place, as they placed 5 in the top 30. Tucker, Henry, Sean, and Eli earned All-Region honors!
The Girl's team finished 3rd with 65pts, marking 21 out of 22 years that they've qualified for States! The Girl's team was led by Molly Moore's 5th place finish with Lauren Mellon right behind in 9th place, while they placed all seven runners in the top 30. Molly, Lauren, Alexis, and Ally earned All-Region honors!
The Mustangs will travel to Salem, VA, for the Group 3A State Championship on November 13th, more info to come!
