Thanks go out to Delegate Marcus Simon (far left) and State Senator Dick Saslaw center for taking time for their annual FCCPS visit to "walk a school" and understand some of the exciting initiatives and continuing work.
This year they learned about a seventh-grade project in a CTE (Career and Technical Education) class, the study of different states of matter in an 8th-grade science class, the new humanities class for 8th graders combining English and history curriculums, and the work of the school counselors.
It was an impressive variety of learning in their hour-long visit, joined by School Board members Shannon Litton, Erin Gill, and Superintendent Noonan for thoughts on policy and some views of the HS construction.
