The Mustangs left all on the course Tuesday as they battled hard in the Region meet and came away with three All-Region finishers and a State qualifier! All-Region Finishers: left Colson Board - 2nd in Region in 16:31 (3x All-Region); center Troup Jackson - 12th in 17:40 (first time All-Region); right Lauren Mellon - 8th in 20:30 (2x All-Region).
The Girls finished 5th with 150 points beating James Monroe and district rival Central-Woodstock. Lauren Mellon's 8th place finish led them, and the girls placed 4 runners in the top 50.
The Boys finished 3rd with 83 points defeating district rivals Warren and Central. This is the boys' lowest point total since 2013. They were led by Colson Board's 2nd place finish and had 7 runners in the top 30. Colson's finish was the highest for a Mustang boy since 2001. He will travel to the State meet next Wednesday at Green Hill Park in Salem. Go, Colson!
