The Word Masters Challenge continues: during the first couple of weeks of QuaranTeaching, Ms. Lang introduced vocabulary words to participating students. Last week, they put their critical thinking skills to the test, taking the final challenge of the year.
More than 100 students completed the challenge, which required them to complete analogies using 75 vocabulary words. The results left TJ with much to celebrate with three students achieving perfect scores on the challenge. Fourth graders Aarya Kamboh top left and Sylvie Zochowski, and fifth-grader Kelsey Just all accomplished this rare feat! Congrats!
The first-place finishers at each grade level have all won Word Masters medals. A special congratulations to the three 3rd graders who tied for first place -- Meera Sharma bottom left, Maddie Sherwood, and Genevieve Hardy top right. Shout outs also go to 4th grader Drew Duong bottom right and 5th grader John Steyn, who topped the charts for their grade levels.
